A ordem das palavras é uma das diferenças mais significativas entre chineses e vietnamitas. Na tradução automática estatística baseada em frases, o modelo de reordenação aprenderá regras de reordenação de corpora bilíngues. Se os corpora bilíngues forem grandes e bons o suficiente, as regras de reordenação serão exatas e passíveis de cobertura. No entanto, o chinês-vietnamita é um par de línguas com poucos recursos e a extração de regras de reordenação é limitada. Isso faz com que a qualidade do reordenamento na tradução automática chinês-vietnamita não seja alta. Neste artigo, combinamos a relação de dependência chinesa e os resultados do alinhamento de palavras chinês-vietnamita para pré-ordenar a ordem das palavras chinesas para ser adequada à vietnamita. Os resultados experimentais mostram que nossa metodologia melhorou o desempenho da tradução automática em comparação com o sistema de tradução usando apenas os modelos de reordenação da tradução automática estatística baseada em frases.

Abstract: Word order is one of the most significant differences between the Chinese and Vietnamese. In the phrase-based statistical machine translation, the reordering model will learn reordering rules from bilingual corpora. If the bilingual corpora are large and good enough, the reordering rules are exact and coverable. However, Chinese-Vietnamese is a low-resource language pair, the extraction of reordering rules is limited. This leads to the quality of reordering in Chinese-Vietnamese machine translation is not high. In this paper, we have combined Chinese dependency relation and Chinese-Vietnamese word alignment results in order to pre-order Chinese word order to be suitable to Vietnamese one. The experimental results show that our methodology has improved the machine translation performance compared to the translation system using only the reordering models of phrase-based statistical machine translation.
