Neste artigo, propomos um novo algoritmo de seleção de características para classificação multiclasse. O algoritmo proposto é baseado em modelos de mistura gaussiana (GMMs) de características e utiliza a distância entre as duas classes menos separáveis como métrica para seleção de características. O sistema proposto foi testado com uma máquina de vetores de suporte (SVM) para classificação multiclasse de música. Os resultados mostram que o esquema de seleção de recursos proposto é superior aos esquemas convencionais.
